WISDOM

COMMUNITY

KEEPERS

A land rooted in memory and ceremony, an ancestral presence is felt in quiet and enduring ways. What is often a reason for fear is revealed as a source of guidance, a power that walks alongside, protecting and giving meaning to life.

The intergenerational story unfolds through the voices of Cheryle Chagnon-Greyeyes, Reagan Markwell, and Chantal Chagnon, alongside reflections from Jeromy Farkas, Mayor of Calgary, whose participation highlights the importance of community, connection, and shared understanding. Together, these voices explore Wisdom as a guiding path, Community as a source of strength, and Keepers as those who sustain identity in a world where the past echoes to shape the present.

As land and nature, and teachings and spirit intertwine, a deep truth emerges: Ancestors are not behind us; they walk with us. Through stories grounded in the lands of Treaty 7, they guide us every step of the way, shaping our connection to the land, to one another, and to ourselves, building resilience and fostering a profound sense of belonging.
